Premier Health Partners and Medical Mutual Continue Contract Negotiations
Applies to: All including Medicare Advantage and Individual ACA
Medical Mutual is committed to working with our health system partners to ensure access to a network of high quality providers while keeping healthcare costs down and providing the best value for our members. Negotiations between healthcare systems and insurance carriers are common and happen on a regular basis.
We are in active discussions with Premier Health Partners to keep them in our provider networks after Dec. 31, 2023. We remain optimistic that an agreement on terms can be reached that keeps Premier Health in our Medicare Advantage HMO and PPO networks, MedFlex HMO, SuperMed HMO, SuperMed PPO and MedMutual HMO individual networks.
Should Medical Mutual and Premier Health not reach an agreement within the next week, per our normal course of business, Medical Mutual will send letters to our members who received services from Premier Health providers in the past year. The letter will explain the possible network change and provide options for members to find new in-network providers.
