Anthem: Important Updates to Anthem Small Group Health Plan Offerings in Ohio

On June 23, 2026

The small group Affordable Care Act (ACA) health coverage currently offered by Anthem will no longer be available after December 31, 2026. For groups on these plans, coverage will end when their current policies end.

On May 8, 2026

To remain an appointed broker with Anthem for 2026, Anthem is requesting that you pay the appointment fee for your appointment renewal fee by June 11, 2026.

On April 17, 2026

The contract with Mid-Ohio Emergency Services will end April 20, 2026, and they will be out of network starting April 21.

Anthem has been working closely with Southwest General to keep them in your clients’ health plan network but have not yet reached an agreement.
