SummaCare is pleased to announce that they are now offering group ancillary benefits through Humana which will allow you to bring more value than ever to your clients. Take advantage of a variety of dental, vision, life and disability plans available to groups of all sizes.
All Humana plans sold through SummaCare offer:
- A two-year rate guarantee included at no additional cost
- One convenient monthly bill for medical and ancillary premiums
- Concierge broker service with local support
Plus, all plans sold through SummaCare will count towards any Humana broker incentive programs already in place.

Quoting and Enrollment: What You Need to Know
SummaCare is now including rates for Humana ancillary benefits offerings in all quotes for new and renewal groups.
MEWA Renewals
- MEWA renewals will be distributed in mid-June.
- Groups of 1 (sole proprietor) will receive standard rates and plan designs for dental and vision products. Life and disability plans are not available to groups of this size.
- Groups of 2+ will see rates for a variety of dental, vision and life products. Disability plans will be available if additional information is provided via the quoting workbook.*
- If a MEWA group wants to add any Humana ancillary plans, you will need to complete the Renewal Agreement Summary and application which is included with your MEWA renewal. Return this information to your ExpressLink representative.
Large Group Renewals
- Renewals for groups of 50+ will include rates for a variety of dental, vision and life plans. Disability plans will be available if additional information is provided via the quoting workbook.*
- If a large group wants to add any Humana ancillary plans, contact yourExpressLink representative.
New Groups:
- As always, the SummaCare quoting/enrollment workbook will be used for quoting. Additional fields have been added to indicate information needed for a quote in disability plans.*
- If a new group wants to add any Humana ancillary plans, there will be a section on the New Group Application to select applicable plans.
Humana will be doing installation for all Humana ancillary plans and may request additional information if needed.
