Introducing the Smart90 Local Pharmacy Network

Medical Mutual is introducing a new Smart90 pharmacy network option available to 100+ employer groups and as a custom benefit for 51-99 groups called Smart90 Local. It allows members to fill a 90-day supply of maintenance medications at a designated Smart90 Local pharmacy. These include a broad range of independent pharmacies and regional chains across Ohio and nationwide, such as:
- Acme
- Discount Drug Mart
- Marc’s
- Amazon Pharmacy
- Giant Eagle
- Meijer
- Costco
- Kroger
- Wal-Mart
How It Works
This new network leverages Medical Mutual’s broad National Plus Pharmacy Network which allows members to fill a 30-day supply of maintenance medications at retail pharmacies (up to 3 times). They are then required to fill a 90-day supply at a designated Smart90 Local pharmacy or through Express Scripts Home Delivery Pharmacy. Any subsequent 30-day retail fills will no longer be covered.
Smart90 Local is similar to Smart90 Walgreens and Smart90 CVS but those options only offer their respective national chains as retail-90 locations.
