Some July Group Payments Unsuccessful on MED; Those Groups Asked to Share New Company ID With Their Banks
Topic: Broker Relations | Companies: Medical Mutual | Segment: Small Group, 51-99, 100+, MEWA
As Medical Mutual transitions from EmployerLink to the MedMutual Employer Dashboard (MED), some groups were unable to successfully submit payments due on July 1, 2026, through the new platform.
There is no broker action required at this time. If you receive questions from your groups, please share the following: Medical Mutual emailed impacted groups on July 14 and asked them to communicate Medical Mutual’s New Company ID (9760958000) to their banks with the request they add this ID to their safe list (whitelist). Once confirmed by their banks, groups were asked to log back into MED and resubmit their July 1 premium payment as soon as possible.
Medical Mutual will waive any late fees associated with a MED-related late July 1, 2026, payment.
Mercy Health Contract Negotiations Currently Underway
Topic: Network Updates | Companies: Medical Mutual, Mutual Health Services | Segment: Individual, Medicare, Small Group, 51-99, 100+, MEWA
Medical Mutual is aware that Mercy Health recently communicated with many broker partners regarding the upcoming renewal of its provider agreement with Medical Mutual, which is currently scheduled to expire on Jan. 1, 2027.
As you know, provider contract negotiations are a normal part of the healthcare landscape and often involve differing perspectives. Medical Mutual generally does not discuss the details of ongoing negotiations, as they believe those conversations are best conducted directly between the parties involved rather than through public communications. It is also important to recognize that negotiations remain in the very early stages.
Throughout this process, Medical Mutual’s focus remains unchanged: protecting access to high-quality care for our members while thoughtfully managing the healthcare dollars entrusted to us by employers, families and communities across Ohio. Medical Mutual approaches every provider agreement thoughtfully, with the goal of delivering meaningful value for the members and employer groups we serve.
Medical Mutual recognizes that communications like these may raise questions among employers and members. While public outreach may occur during the course of negotiations, Medical Mutual’s attention remains focused on reaching a resolution that best serves the interests of the people who rely on them for their healthcare coverage.
Medical Mutual values its relationship with Mercy Health and the care its clinicians provide throughout the communities they jointly serve. Medical Mutual remains committed to productive discussions and advocating on behalf of their members, employer groups, and healthcare providers.
Medical Mutual will continue to keep you informed as discussions progress.
