Anthem values your relationship and is committed to informing you when important changes occur. Below are changes that may impact some of your clients’ health plan offerings in Ohio.
What’s Changing
The small group Affordable Care Act (ACA) health coverage currently offered by Anthem will no longer be available after December 31, 2026. For groups on these plans, coverage will end when their current policies end.
What Happens Next
No immediate action is needed by you or your clients. Their coverage will continue, and their employees will have full access to their health benefits, until the end of their current policy.
Anthem will be sending legally required notices to affected employer groups letting them know about this change. The notice will direct them to work with their broker to identify new options for their employees’ health coverage for plans renewing in 2027. In addition, Anthem will mail legally required notices to impacted members letting them know about this change and directing them to contact their employer with any questions.
Please note that quoting these plans will be unavailable in the quote to enroll tool in Producer Toolbox effective June 26, 2026. Please work with your ExpressLink representative for any quote needs after this date. Groups with specialty (dental and/or vision) will receive renewals for those lines of coverage and can continue those benefits as stand-alone coverage.
