MetroHealth Broadway Pharmacy Leaving Express Scripts Pharmacy Network Effective May 15, 2025

MetroHealth Broadway Pharmacy will leave the Express Scripts (ESI) pharmacy network effective May 15, 2025.
ESI notified approximately 300 Commercial and Exchange members and approximately 100 Medicare Advantage members of this termination. This is the only MetroHealth pharmacy location impacted, and members can switch their medication to another MetroHealth outpatient pharmacy or the MetroHealth Central Fill Pharmacy.

Discount Drug Mart No Longer Supplying Certain Durable Medical Equipment Through Health Plan Benefits

Effective immediately, Discount Drug Mart (“Drug Mart”) is no longer providing certain Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and medical supplies to Commercial, Medicare Advantage (MA) and Mutual Health Services members through their health plan benefits. As a result, the process for ordering DME and medical supplies will change for some members.
Drug Mart notified members receiving ongoing DME/medical supply orders of this update in March. Medical Mutual mailed Commercial, MA and MHS letters to all members that have previously ordered DME/medical supplies through Drug Mart in May. The letters included a list of DME and medical supplies and where they are available. You can see the list here.
- Discount Drug Mart: Certain DME and medical supplies will remain available through Drug Mart. If this is the case for members, no action needs to be taken – their orders and billing will continue as usual.
- Hastings, also known as Professional Medical Equipment & Services (PMES): For DME and medical supplies available through Hastings, members should contact Hastings directly to ensure their monthly orders are placed through their health plan benefit.
- Alternate DME Providers: If applicable, members will receive a list of alternate providers they can contact directly to place their orders through their health plan benefit.
Discount Drug Mart will continue to offer certain DME items and medical supplies for cash sale only, meaning members will be responsible for the full cost of their items.

Members who have an email address on file and have opted to receive health and wellness information electronically will receive the newsletter via email.

Paramount members with Individual ACA, Medicare Advantage or Medicare Supplement plans will only receive a printed copy by U.S. Mail. The topics are the same, however this version includes Paramount branding and articles tailored to highlight Paramount benefits and experts.
