Section 204 of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 (CAA) requires health insurers to share certain data related to prescription drugs and healthcare spending annually with the federal government. This data submission is referred to as RxDC reporting.
RxDC reporting requires Medical Mutual to share premium split information for our Small Groups. Premium split represents the percentage the employer contributes towards the employee’s health insurance premium and the percentage the employee contributes towards their own premium.
Here’s how we’ll collect premium split information from our Small Groups:
- New Groups – To be collected via the Group Application.
- Renewing Groups – Small Group renewal packets will include a Small Group Premium Split Reporting Survey Flyer which will direct groups to share premium split information with us via a short, online survey.
Medical Mutual will collect premium split information from our Small Groups annually and report this information to the government by their June 1 deadline each year.
