Reminder About Humana Group Ancillary Benefits
A reminder that all renewal and new group quotes include rates for Humana Ancillary Benefits. The rates you received from Humana for your MEWA renewals for 9/1/26 are good through the end of this year. If a group didn’t elect ancillary benefits in 2026, they can add ancillary benefits at the rates already provided through January 1, 2027.

Q: What size groups can select these group ancillary benefits?
A: Dental and vision plans are available to groups of all sizes. Single-life groups are given standard rates and plan designs for these products. Since single-life groups are pooled, you will NOT see these enrolled groups in your Humana portal.
Groups of 2+ can select from a variety of dental, vision, life and disability plans and are rated per information provided when quoting.
Q: Are these plans different from what I can purchase from Humana directly?
A: Yes! These plans are specifically-designed for SummaCare and include:
- Enhanced preventative care
- Extended annual maximum option on dental plans
- Retinal eye exam rider option included in vision plans
- One convenient bill for medical and ancillary
- Plus more!
And, your clients will receive a 2-year rate guarantee on all benefits at no additional cost!
Q: What bonus structures are available?
A: All Humana plans sold through SummaCare apply to any existing incentive programs that Humana offers. In addition, Humana currently has a Dental Bundling Bonus available through October 31. Click here for details.
Q: How can I get a quote on these benefits?
A: Per above, we are including rates for Humana ancillary benefits offerings in all quotes for new and renewal groups.
