In preparation for the move to The Standard, we are consolidating our Life and Disability business onto a single Anthem enrollment and billing system. We expect the deal with The Standard to close in Q1/24.
For NEW business beginning 9/1/23 and later, a separate group number will be set up on Compass (the life/disability billing system) where the premium statement and enrollment will be housed. Employers and brokers will be able to get access to this system for administrative items (viewing invoices and making adds/changes/terms) by requesting access through the LD Online Service Request Users Form.
The approval email notifications from SOCA BP New Case Install, Anthem Balanced Funding New Case Install or new ACA Group Install will no longer reference any Disability or Life benefit being installed—these mailboxes will only be sending the welcome email referencing to the medical / dental / vision products being purchased.
The Compass New Case Install team will be sending their own welcome email / packet once the Life and DI products are setup.
Clients now have an L&D experience with dedicated:
- Billing. Clients will receive a separate bill for L&D. Electronic invoices will be posted to the L&D platform, separate from all other lines of business.
- Online bill pay. Clients can use MyOnlineBill® to pay their L&D premium online, set up automatic payments, or pay premiums by check.
- Online administration. Clients will use an online administration tool called Compassi to submit their L&D membership changes. They’ll need to submit a separate transaction for medical and/or dental/vision changes.
- To request employer and/or broker online access to Compass platform, please complete the user form.
- Claims. The L&D claims process and contacts will not change.
